Wow, here's a wonderful story about the positive effect of golf on Alzheimer's patients from today's Wall Street Journal. And it's a great complement to my earlier post.
Essentially, the piece claims that assisted living patients are playing golf, which is proving to be very effective in "transporting them from the fear and confusion of Alzheimers to contentment and lucidity."
The story features many prominent doctors and caregivers espousing how "swinging a club often sparks a startling transformation, however, fleeting that can make Alzheimer's patients seem like regular folk again."
Wow again, this story brings hope and tears. Happy Masters Week to these true masters in golf and science.
